Data Center Group To Hold Meeting in UAE
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center industry leaders in the Gulf Cooperation Council (http://www.gccsg.org) will be brought together in Abu Dhabi in early June to discuss strategies in the region and beyond as part of a Data Centres group meeting (www.datacentres.com).
The annual Middle-East forum, organized by consulting firm BroadGroup (www.broad-group.com), will feature many senior industry executives in attendance, according to the Monday announcement. Also, many leading data center chief executive officers will speak and meet with attendees. The event's Keynote is Dolphin Energy CEO Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, who is also Aldar Properties PJSC chairman and a Mubadala board member.
"The Middle East is a new area of focus for companies engaged in the data center sector," BroadGroup managing director Philip Low said in a statement. "It is increasingly important because of the sophisticated and well funded operators that reside in the region, the investment being made, and the growing opportunities across the Middle East region."
One of the Highlights of the two-day-long meeting includes the first ever data center Middle East CEO Roundtable which brings together Injazat Data Systems CEO Ibrahim Lari, du CEO Osman Sultan, Gateway Gulf chairman Tariq Husain, and eHosting Datafort CEO Yasser Zeineldin.
In addition expert panels, the meeting will assess investment and growth strategies, "Green Efficiency," outsourcing for enterprises, the emergence of cloud computing, data center transformation through virtualization and automation, new standards for data centers and an architecting and designing workshop.
